Academic Experience

This project was for my Media Writing class, I was assigned to create a news release for a brand that recently hosted an event for a social cause. My objective was to bring light to a company that has done a great job at serving their community and making a difference. I took the initiative to research what influencers attended the event and were comfortable with sharing how much money they invested towards the cause that Rare Beauty was supporting. Many attendees supported the cause by donating money to expand mental health facilities. This was helpful when figuring out how much money was raised at the end of the event and how successful it was. I was able to deliver accurate information and details to readers and consumers of Rare Beauty. It took me two days to complete. This news release gave me the opportunity to do a deep dive on the company's core values and how they chose to give back.
